Facebook builds product to compete with Clubhouse.
The Facebook company, always known for copying the ideas of competitors, is building a voice chat product similar to the popular app Clubhouse.. According to the report of the New York Times, the social network aims to expand into new forms of communication.
The Clubhouse app has created a sensation by allowing people to gather in voice chat rooms to talk about different topics.
Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook’s CEO, seems to be interested in forms of voice communication.
The news comes just five days after Zuckerberg joined the Clubhouse and took part in a room to talk about the future of augmented and virtual reality.
The presence of” Zuckerberg ” via the app was shocking, being a fairly competitive new social network.. So the fact that Facebook is probably now cloning the Clubhouse is not surprising.
Facebook executives also ordered employees to create a similar product.. But it is still in its early stages of development, have changed the code name for the project.

“We’ve been connecting people through audio and video technologies for many years, and we’re always exploring new ways to improve that experience for people,” said a Facebook spokeswoman.
Facebook also has a long history of breaking into new technologies and chasing different media that have attracted users, especially young people and teenagers.
Facebook had bought photo-sharing platform Instagram, instant messaging app WhatsApp and virtual reality company Oculus when they were all small startups.
Facebook knows it is always ready to clone the ideas of its competitors, with Instagram in 2016 copying the feature of high-profile stories from rival Snapchat.
“Instagram” last year premiered Reels, a video product that resembles Tik Tok.
After the Zoom teleconferencing service became popular, Facebook created Rooms, a group video chat service.
Facebook is also working this year on a rival product for the popular messaging service Substack.
Facebook has also been involved in the development of experimental applications through its new product testing team.. The team worked on podcasts, travel apps, music apps and more.
Clubhouse has gained momentum among Silicon Valley’s elite as a dedicated iPhone app accessible via invitation only, and the app is still in the beta phase.. Which means that he is still in the testing phase before release clear.
Once registered at Clubhouse, users can create rooms dedicated to different topics, and instead of video or text messages, Clubhouse’s preferred medium is voice chat.
The app flourished under the pandemic as people looked for ways to connect while remaining isolated from each other, and the app tops the App Store rankings in countries such as: Germany, Italy, Japan and Turkey.
Dozens of celebrities also appeared via the app, joining various discussions and using the service to promote their projects.
Others are trying to compete with the app, as the Twitter platform is testing a product called Spaces that offers a similar voice chat function.
